Every spice bouquet is different.
Nigerian, Mexican and Indian food are all "spicy", but no two taste alike. Neurodivergent people are the same: one word, wildly different flavours. Neurospicy Unfiltered is a shame-free space to understand your own bouquet, or the bouquet of someone you love.

You are not a broken version of normal.
The heart of the Neurospicy Unfiltered book series is simple: neurodivergent people aren't defective, and they don't need superpowers, savant skills or inspirational comeback stories to justify their existence. They're just wired differently, and different has always been part of the human recipe. This site is the unfiltered companion to those books: real talk about diagnosis, medication, accommodations at school and beyond, and the everyday business of raising, or being, a neurospicy human.

Meet the voice behind the spice
Lisa Kruger-Brent
(A nom de plume, because her kids' privacy is not negotiable.)
Lisa is a late-diagnosed neurospicy mum raising early-diagnosed neurospicy children. She knows exactly what it's like to "raw-dog" life with no accommodations, no language for what was happening, and no one in her corner. and she is fighting hard so her kids, and yours, don't have to.
She's not a doctor, therapist or specialist, and she'll never pretend to be one. What she offers is the thing she wished she'd had: someone who has lived it, done the homework, and will tell you the truth about diagnosis, medication and accommodations, in school and out of it. Every effort is made to keep things accurate, but nothing here replaces professional advice.
